    Hello Everyone!!
Sorry I haven't been in touch this week - serious problems with the internet at the moment and I only have very limited time on line..:(:(:(...Hopefully this will be sorted soon..:):)
I don't know if this counts as a motif, but I spent about an hour photographing these red kites against a white sky and wondering why the birds were coming out in sillouette. Then I remembered exposure compenstion....:o:o:o.
    40D 100-400 @ 400mm
    ISO 200
    AV F8 1/640 sec
    Exp comp @ +1.7
    Centre weighted

I further tweeked this in levels (PS elements 6)
    Should I have used flash??

    Happy belated July 4th!!!
Best and love to all from a very very wet UK,
    Nicki

that is one intense photograph!!!! and a beautiful bird!!!! great job nicki!! i see no shadows so i dont think you needed the flash. you were at f/8, you could have opened up and gotten to 1/1000s with no flash!! but you still handled it extremely well!!

Well done - works for me - love the symetry of the wings etc.
Personally - I would lighten the eye just a tad and maybe sharpen the eye just a tad.

    Excellent
