If I were a flying insect I would not want to set up shop close to a Tree Swallow's territory, especially not during nesting season. These guys made quick work out of many types of insects. Fun to watch and anticipate what they will come up with next!

Neat image Daniel. Another great prey item that afforded you a nice view of the eye. Soft background works. The large perch has lots of character with the mosses.

Daniel, another super shot for me.

Enough of the eye to make it work well. Also the minimal bark on this one compared to last give more focus on the subject. The plush green bkg is super and lovely detail in the bird feathers.

    A beaut!

    Hello Dan,
Love the placement of the diagonal trunk and how the swallow is perched. The detail in the damsels wings is/are (??? grammar) terrific, but what takes this to the top for me is the wonderful opening for the eye! Lovely color, very nice.
