    Very nice. Good light, exposure, perch and background. Like the look-back pose. Not sure if the leaves on the lower right add anything, but they don't seriously detract (and maybe add some balance).

    John, for me it's one of the better BB posted in a while. The bkg sure makes a great start but the gorgeous blooming fauna and a little grub on the beak also add.

    Can't help but want a touch more lift on the blacks if it was available. But overall a nice frame.

    FWIW, I think the leaves coming up from LR help balance the leaves on the left side of stem. That said, now I'm thinking a touch more room above maybe, and if so perhaps a 5x7 crop could also be nice.

    A little late on this one, but I agree with the +ve comments. Blacks look good to me on my monitor, really like the leaves, sharpness, HA and the gradient style BG. Cheers.
