    Cool Shot. Really Like it.

Having purchased a new house 1 year back, we started our garden hoping to have some nesting birds and butterflies, I will try to photograph some butterflies next year...

    Thanks

Love the in-flight image of the butterfly. Butterfly is sharp and the texture shows well. Nice composition and background as well. In-focus flowers also add to the image. increased dof could have brought other flowers in focus, but that would have compromised the shutter speed, which is essential for in-flight image.

Nice to see them in flight. I like the vertical framing with the flowers.

Wow Jon - You nailed it! Excellent light, exposure, and sharpness on the butterfly - and all done without flash too!

We are living in amazing times and you used your gear to the maax to create this amazing image. My favorite part of the image is the orange leading edge of the under hind-wing!
