One more warbler from 2017 files. OK, so the perch is too big for the bird, or vice versa. This was taken from a blind at Laguna Seca ranch, and presumably the perch was a setup intended for larger birds, but this little guy found it. He was probably attracted to bits of suet on the branch, some of which is still visible.

I like this, Bill. Overall I find the image slightly dark, so I'd raise the exposure a touch. I agree with the self-critique re: the perch. I love the background, but I find the composition too centered for my taste. It's a tough one to balance and I think you've done as well as you could've in this case. TFS

Hi Bill, neat little warbler. I agree that the image appears dark. Your critique of the perch is spot on, most likely it was set up for Crested Caracara. Thank you for sharing.

I like the sleek pose. The flowers in the background are nice as well. I would up the exposure some.

Bill, neat little bird on a huge perch. I've never seen one in person.

Flowers are lovely but hard to appreciate them as much as if it were on a smaller branch.

There seems to be a lot of magenta for me on the whole image on my screen (calibrated Sat).
