    Default Black Capped Kingfisher

Just one of the migratory kingfishers we get here from Dec-around April each year. I came across this fella as it was finishing its' early morning bath.

Beautiful capture. BG is great. I might tone down the 2nd perch just a bit. I find it a little bright.

Lovely composition with great color and detail. I find the tiny waterdroplets a nice bonus in this image. Many thanks for sharing.

Now that is a mighty large beak! A great picture!

Great light, details and eye contact. You could apply some NR on the BG as it looks a bit noisy. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful. I love the colors and the pose. The eye contact and the open beak are great. I am new to this but the body seems a bit over sharp to me (that may not be the case), I find my eye drawn to the breast of the bird rather than the head/eye area. That said , I think it is a steller image.

Water droplets on feathers makes this image for me. Excellent job.

Agree on that. The noise came from USM in CS2 rather than from the original as think I might have overdone the USM a bit.

Thank you all for the feedback.

btw there is a species with even a more disproportionate beak to body size which I shall post a bit later :)
