These birds have a fascinating range of feathers, with some like fur.

I like this, artistic, I like the OOF stuff, I just wish the beak tip looked as good as the eye...

I like the pose, good exposure the image appears to have had strong NR that has smoothened the feathers or perhaps it's because he was wet...

No noise Ari and no NR, wet feathers. Plus a lot are woolly rather than feathery.

The pose is very neat and it is sharp on the eye. I like it.

A unique image, you made it work. The eye is intriguing. Nice pose and framing.

Colin, super interesting composition. Much to like about it.

Independent of Ari's comment, there seems to be an odd halo around the head and neck. Also, in the white stripe on the cheek it almost looks like blown whites were attempted to be recovered; at least that's all I can make of it.

Brian, that halo would be a result of masking not picking up the oof feathers, Will need to watch that in the future.
No attempt at recovering whites, Not sure what went on there.

That would make sense. You put out some very nice stuff, looking forward to more excellent shots

Like this a lot. May not be "natural" but I'd like the eye to get a touch of "burn in" and/or saturation. Think it would pop a bit more.
