This pair of Northern Fulmars return to this same nesting area every year....It is a ruined castle in my hometown...The nesting area is what's left of a 'window' high up. I managed to climb up another part of the castle to get a better POV of this intimate moment. This is one of my fave birds and have been watching this pair for over 10 years. They mate for life and can live up to 60 years. The dark BG is the inside of the four walls. HH. ACR and PS2020.

Beautiful Will, the exposure and colours look absolutely spot on.
Just for the curiosity I think I might sharpen the eye of the RHS bird a little bit more - it may/not enhance WDYT?

Will, just a beautiful frame here. Excellent detail and the dark bkg produces a wonderful feel and focus on the subjects.

If you want to nit, one small dot you could clone on left subject.

    Thanks for sharing this one!

The black BG is really nice... Birds both sharp, well done.

Beautiful image. The colors and whites look great as does the black background. I like the interaction. A great moment you captured.

Well worth the climb Will, the eye level viewpoint is a massive plus. Great timing on the moment between the pair

Hi Will, well done on the climb with that shoulder.

I like the soft coloured rocks, they blends well with the soft plumage colours, what I'm not a lover of is the harsh line that buts up to the subject & stones, I would try to soften it, for me it doesn't look right, but just my take. Also would that tail feather on the LHS be a tad darker as it disappears into the darkness?

A very lovely frame. Those white birds against that dark back drop really make this one work. Detail is very nice. Framing as well.

In which case Will, turn that adjustment layer off, it should then look more ‘natural’ IMHO.

Love the black BG and the interaction.
I would like to see a bit more room RHS.
I agree with Steve re: harsh line on stone and BG. Not sure what you can do to soften it. Did you reduce the exposure on the black BG? If you did, then I would feather the selection by 3-4 pixels,
    Gail
