Captured this image a couple of days ago at a local grassland preserve. Most of the trails are line with tress, bushes, and in this location a leafy vine which they seem to like. This one perched for a good 10 minute grooming session. An interesting fact about the BRTH, I was not aware of, is they have over 1,100 songs and they are capable of imitating several other bird calls. C&C welcome.

Love these beauties and they always seem to be down in the understory. Great job finding and taking full advantage of this grooming session. Here in south Florida it is hard not to know about their vocal expertise. In my yard they are always competing with our mockingbirds over their respective repertoires. TFS

Hi Geoffrey. I really like this one...the BG is not overly distracting...it's an environmental shot...can't always get birds with a clean BG. really like the pose, HA, sharpness and colours, which contrast nicely with the BG. Would have been ideal to get the bird at eye level...but I know that's not always possible (my wife is always telling me to ask the bird if it wouldn't mind moving down a little...lol)

I usually only see glimpses of these birds. SO i enjoyed viewing this frame. Nice pose and setting.
