    Default Indian Vervet monkey

Whilst taking a break, a troop of Vervet monkeys decided to come and play by our jeep during our morning coffee. I cropped tight in camera at the foot to spare this monkey's modesty. The light was deceiving, still ISO 4000, but no problem for the MKII.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Not bad Mr K, not bad at all. Not crazy about the position/pose but technically I congratulate you. Nicely sharpened too! (No I am not too impressed with AI Sharpen I never thought an out of focus image could be made sharp and I still don't, I was asked to try it, I did, but I don't see any advantage over what I am using now.)
I can live with her equipment not being visible but the left hand chopped off does not really do the image any good at all from my perspective..

Nor am I in all honesty Jon, but needed to post something here.

Jon, I could give you over 8 hours on sharpening and the various aspects and techniques of sharpening of which even you might go, what...???? Everyone seems to be obsessed with Third Party stuff, but they own PSCC which is the best Software tool out and delivers, if used correctly, the best sharpening IMHO.

If an image is soft/OOF bin it and move on.

I like the way the monkey's hand is on that tree. The detail is great per ususal. Looks like the monkey was lost in some deep thought here.

Hy Steve the monkey has a nice posture, I realy like the hand and foot on the tree, too bad the hand is out of the frame, but it doesnt kill the mood of the picture for me. Very nice details in the face and the dark oof BG makes the monkey stand out.

Dan, these are very photogenic, full of mood & character. For me it’s the head that speaks volumes, I will post another at some point, as I feel we can connect with these subjects simple because they are so close to ourselves.

What a fantastic image Steve, loved it. Excellent details and trademark Stephen Kaluski shot with all those fine details and excellent IQ. Benchmark for all of us.

Great choice on DOF and Hls have been tackled superbly, I can so easily go astray on that aspect.

    Nicely done, TFS !

Beautifully processed Steve, and killer BG. Well exposed, and the expression and those eyes say it all. Would like to see the entire frame, modesty or not
