One of the first photos I've taken with my new 70-200 f4. Over the moon with the quality of that lens.
shot with canon 40D, 70-200 @ 200mm
F4, 1/320th (i think!) and ISO 800
Exp. comp of -2/3. question: this exposed the bird perfectly but some of the whites on the apple were blown. should i have gone down to -1stop or should i just get it right for the bird?
Wow, nice catch! I think it could use a little more room on the right, but you handle the exposure very well, the fruit does not look hot and the darks also loo fine. Open bill and pose are great.
That lens was one of our favorites when we used Canon, both the IS version and the previous one.
Nice sharp image with good details. Agree with Fabs on giving a bit of room on the right side.
Also find the blue spot next to the apple a bit distracting.
Very nice find and wonderful capture. I agree about a tad more canvas on top . I particularly like the composition in this image with the partially eaten apple. thanks for sharing and all the best to you with your new lens < smile >
Great find and moment captured. Exposure and details look good. I agree regarding putting the bird a bit further to the left in the frame and would remove the two spots and vertical lines in the BG. Keep them coming!
