As I inched back up the bank level with this beauty and just a little closer tried wide open on this curious stare as I was finally noticed. Still, this fledgling did not fly.

Strong image! Nice and sharp with a killer stare. The eyes are so good. Details across the bird look good, and the wide aperture helped to melt away the varied background. Toes are fun too.
