    This image was taken last week on my dock. This Barn Swallow is my morning coffee companion on occasion. This image was hand held from my chair.

    Jim, I feel like Barn Swallows never get any love. Really stunning detail in this portrait. The veins in the mouth get bonus points.

    Gets a touch noisy at the LR corner but a really nice and interesting capture overall.

    Great calling pose, good details through. I find the bird a bit big in the frame and the composition a bit awkward...tough shot to compose

    Looks good, our focus goes right to the gape and eye. Would have been nice to have a bit more DOF across the bird, but you were short on light already. I think this is a fine frame. I might move
    the bird a bit right to give him more room on the left and lose those most out of focus posterior bits.
