    This guy looked pretty laid back on the 4th of July. Taken with a 40D and 100-400 @ 285, AV, 1/1250, f7.1 ISO 200. I really struggle to get these birds without blowinging them out.

    Love the wing position and the details in the whites. Good head angle and eye contact...:cool:

    Fully agree and I like it !!!!!

    btw there are no secrets to holding detail in the whites !!! Soft light !!!! For flight images of any species I rather have the wings in the fully up or down position. Will accomplish a couple of things, less chance of a shadow across the bird and it just looks more elegant. I like it a lot !!!!
