This bird kept landing on my driver side mirror. Then eventually a nearby sign. This image was created at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge in Tyre, New York on 5/29/20 at 6:17PM. Image processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

    John:

My two favorite bits are the interesting catchlight and the frill of feathers around the neck onto the breast. Sharp with nice feather detail where in DOF. Good head position. Simple color palette.

    Cheers

Talk about in your face. Love the look back and the view of the face/eye. Randy's right the catch light looks like a painting. You took full advantage on this one, my friend. TFS

    Really nice portrait John.

Only suggestion is a touch of noise red on the bkg.

    Well done!

    This is lovely.
I like the raised feathers at the bottom of the neck.
There is some color noise in the BG- easy to fix.
    Otherwisw, a very fine photo!

Beautiful portrait! Talk about taking advantage of a "friendly" bird. I just feel the whole bird should be a bit darker as it feels a bit washed-out.
