    Looks like a classic adult to me - a chick would still have the yellow gape and would not have such a full blue plumage yet at this time of year. Regardless, lots of detail to look at here, and a perfect head angle too.

    Great head shot. At my local parks you can literally walk up to these birds. You could probably take a decent image with your phone.
