Have quite a few skimmer shots, none with this kind of BG though. This is the typical CA dry grass in summer.

shot with Sony A9 II and the 600 GM + TC 1.4X ISO-1250 f/5.6 at 1/4000 sec hand held processed with C1P hope you like it

Terrific shot and a different BG to the usual Skimmer shots.
The angle of the light has brought out the underwing texture nicely.

Love this BG and perfect EXP to get that eye. It looks like more contrast than your usual image but as usual, love the clear detailed view. TFS

A sweet capture indeed Ari. Superb feather detail in the darks and lights and warm, creamy bkg. TFS

Gorgeous light, good flight pose, and as you say, a unique Skimmer background. Looks well exposed, with great detail as expected. Did you burn the whites on the face just a tad?

Hi Ari, nice image of a skimmer. Lovely wing position and background. I see why Bill asked about the white on the face, on my display it appears slightly gray. Thank you for sharing,

Pretty stunning Arash, looks as good as any of your DSLR camera images.
BG is really nice with the skimmer, so different.
Your Sony images seem smoother and less noisy than most I have seen.
