Hello everyone. Thank you for all your comments and suggestions to my previous post, as always much appreciated .
Posting an image of the handsome Capped Langur from Northeast India. This particular individual came very close while foraging and I also walked towards the langur to frame those striking eyes amidst the foliage. I had put on a TC for tight head shots so during this encounter focusing was getting a bit difficult due to the close proximity and hence I manually focused it to get those eyes tack sharp.
Looking for ward for all your comments and suggestions.
Haseeb I think this is a really gripping image, it commands attention, I think it could do with a little more pop to make it even more imposing. (I think you have TK Panel? I have Version 6_
I have used TK panel and selected the bridge of the nose using Pick, I observed the mask and refined it slightly to ensure the skin and black hair only were selected, having made a mask I then made a layer adjustement using curves set to Luminosity. WDYT???
1. I find the stem of the plant distracting and draws my eye
2. Personal, but the subject is looking behind me, not towards me
3. The image overall looks a bit 'thin' overall and needs more tonal range for more depth
Perhaps (pedestrian I know) but if the head was 'head on' and was then shrouded buy the OOF vegetation it might have more impact?
Kudos in being creative and thinking out of the box, hopefully there will be more encounters where you can continue to be as creative as you have been here.
TFS

Thank you Jon and Steve, I really appreciate your comments .
@ Jon - I liked your RP with that certain amt of POP. Well explained , thanks .
@ Steve- loved your thought process and the kind of comments I look upto , certainly after this comment of your , I feel in a much better position to produce a better image of next time something similar turns up. Thank you.
As far as my thought goes , I liked this image as shot and open to suggestions as it will help in one way or the other .
I really like it...apart from the direction of the eyes...If it was looking directly at the viewer, as Steve said, I would like it even better....Good detail and nice colours throughout.
Both versions look great to me. I love the concept. I wish for a bit more room above ....
with love, artie
