Another shot from my back garden, hand held, in many instances I have no need to use the permanent hide or a bag hide, they have become pretty accustomed to being fed, in fact the sparrows and woody come looking for mealworms.Olympus OMD EM-1X

Hi Jon, nice action here. You should leave enough fod for all to share. I like the lunging pose of the lower Sparrow, together with the worm curled around the beak of the second Sparrow. Nice and sharp for an action shot, and I like your soft light.

    Jon:

Agree with Stu's assessment. Nice action. I might consider toning down the yellow flowers just a bit. I like the added color, but they do tend to pull the eye away from the action a bit.

    Cheers

Another backyard stunner. The action is the star, but I also love the flowers. TFS

Well captured Jon...two great poses and I like the facial expression on the female looking at the worm.....Lovely detail and the colours are spot on...The perch works nicely with both birds in the frame.

Jonathan, way to turn an ordinary subject shot into something cool. Food in the mouth and some bird banter bodes well for this one.

Nice interaction. Neat how the meal worm wraps around the bill like that. The yellow flower dots in the background are another bonus.
