    Default Female gadwall

got this today, activity has been almost zero here while I have been trying to take out my new acquisition and test it out. finally got a few frames today at a nearby lake...not bad

this is a female gadwall coming at speed. I wish she had passed the darker BG patch when the wings were up. Ducks in flight are quite challenging, even at crazy 20 fps there are only 2 shots out of 50 that have a good wing position :O

shot with gripped Sony A9 MKII and the light Sony 600mm f/4 G-master lens attached to the 1.4X FE TC. ISO 640 f/5.6 1/4000 sec and of course hand held while holding the hood with just two fingers processed with C1P 20

What is your opinion of the Sony stuff compared to Nikon/Canon?

    Arash"

Excellent pose, angle in frame , lighting on bird. The darker area behind bird is noticeable but not a deal breaker. Will look forward to your thoughts on the Sony as you get more time with it.

    Cheers

Lovely flight shot and background. Also eager to hear your reaction to the Sony gear.

Hi Ari, all ducks, geese are fast flyers, but that should worry you with your skills - you nailed this one. Good ss to have him nice and sharp, and love the clean BG.

Love the brooding feel of this canvas overall. Even the darker BG works in this one IMHO.

Did you miss the shutter sounds?

Arash this is beautiful almost like a painting.Love the angle of the duck up up and away and the darkness of the overall image. Thanks for your comments on my previous photo and I have the Dpp 4 guide by you and Artie if that is the one you are referring too. TFS

Looks spot on to me. The background looks really neat here.

Thanks Dave, with e shutter the camera makes a fake shutter sound otherwise it's no possible to tell if it is taking a photo or not due to blackout free finder.
