The Forgotten Flight

You may remember a few landing shots of the Burrowing Owl weeks ago. I found this one from the series and realized I never processed it.
Shot about 30 min after sunrise under a partly cloudy sky.
It's kind of fun processing something later on and applying all the new PP tactics you've learned. Hopefully an improvement.

Post in C1P and PS. Mids and Highs curves adjust, reduced some magenta, added a touch of exp and crop in PS (~ 40%) - chose 16x9 to frame tightly and showcase wingspan

Artie, so sorry. We just gave birth to our son and have not returned to normalcy yet. I will reach out to you again soon.

Hi Brian, love the owl, the wing position is really nice. The bird looks good, the whites look white but the green of the grass appear to have a blue cast on my display. Exposure and feather detail look good. Thank you for sharing.

Another nice one, the grasses all do look blue to me, was this 'as shot" conversion in C1P?

I see a tad, maybe +3 yellow wouldn't hurt.
This was as shot in C1P. Ran 50% gray sample point and curves adjust with gray dropper globally in PS. Then +4 green on the owl.

Looks awesome Brian. I love the low-ish angle with the strip of grass at the bottom - and the drops of dew are a nice touch. Tack sharp eyes. Big congrats on the new addition to the family. Children are such blessings!!

Hi Brian, great low perspective here, and love the full wingspread. I like the grasses on the feet. Big congrats on your family addition - they grow up so fast.

Thanks Stu for the feedback and the kind words.
They do grow up so fast; in this newborn phase I try to embrace every moment, especially the late night crying as those are the hardest/best times.

Looks very nice to my eye. Really like those outstreched wings. Also like how the bird is looking past you.

Excellent flight capture, Brian. Like the full extension of the wings, fanned tail, and some nesting material in the talon.
Also congratulations!
