I like the composition, the owlet appears a little less than sharp, I wonder if more sharpening would help??

I quite like this.
Unique environment and I really like the daisies at the top of the frame.
Nice to see the foot poking through the tummy feathers.
I just wish the little owlet in the burrow did not have the flowers in front of his face. A bit higher would have moved the flowers out of the way. (Not often I say go higher)
I might reduce the magenta by 1 point. There is not a cast but I ca see a hint of it in the ground and log.
IQ has held up fairly well for a large crop.
I am not sure why you did not stop down to f8? You were at low ISO and could have jacked the ISO up to 1250 or 1600 no problem and gotten F8 or 9 and that would have helped with owlet in the burrow.

Quite nice. Like how you can just see the eyes of the one in the burrow. Neat how the burrow is actually under a tree. The pose on the left bird is right on. Nice framing as well.

Hi David, interesting image. A commong pose for these owls standing on one leg. I like that it shows the burrow under the root and the owl peeking out. I also wonder why you did now go to F/8, maybe then the owl peeking out would be in sharp focus... not sure. Thank you for sharing.

David, the sibling in the burrow nicely caught me off guard. It's been said, but too bad we can see the eyes a little better.
The image feels a touch flat for me. I can't tell if is't saturation. Maybe the lighting just caused all the neutrals to lack pop... or maybe that's exactly how it was through your own eyes and it's fine. Just thought I offer my view.
Continue to enjoy the series!
