Drake it to the Bank
I know Mallards are the forgotten waterfowl species, but I hope I did this one justice.
This is my first vertical crop shared here. Nothing looked good to me except 5x4 so I rolled with that
No lum masks or anything in PS and post except normal C1P adjusts and a touch of denoise and sharpen.
I'm just letting this fly (no pun) pure and mostly unadulterated.

looks pretty good Brian, you got the nice dorsal view and details. in a perfect world the BG could more attractive like green or deep water blue but this ain't too shabby
glad you are already putting the 600 into good use

What Arash said and I'd add the base adds something to the BG. Just a beautiful top view.

Really like this one Brian. Sharp, lovely feather detail and colours. TFS

A fine looking frame. Just the right head turn, bird is well focused and nicely colored. Well done.

Yes, this looks good. Dangling foot is particularly nice. I would clone out the second catchlight. I've entirely converted to the 4x5 format (from 2x3) for my verticals in the past two years.
The boxier crops look better in all but a few instances.

A fine shot indeed Brian, a good example of less is more regarding processing.
