    I captured this image of a Great Egret with a fish along the walkway leading out of Gatorland. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera and lens supported by a monopod
    1/3200 F/8 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 450 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 195mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped from 2x3 to 4x5 for composition and presentation

    Hi Joe,

    Now that's a mouthful, and quite amazing to watch them maneuver those large fish perfectly in place to swallow. Very nice handling of the whites in that direct sunlight, and fine detail throughout.

    Well i think this qualifies for the theme. What a catch! Detail and framing look very nice.

    Technically this image is about perfect; the exposure and detail are fabulous on bird and fish. Closing down to f/8 was very wise. I'd love to see the head turned a bit more to have a catchlight, but
    that's relatively minor as our attention goes right to the fish here. The frame tells a great story!
