This canvas shows one of my favorites (the under appreciated female) of a common species. I say "shows". What I mean is "never have I seen it shown better". The perch, the BG, the colors, the tones, the composition. Al sweet perfection IMHO. Not really surprised, though. TFS
Hi Joe, the vertical works and the perch is what it is, natural? Good detail, but I'd personally loose the blue cast in the bill & legs, have you tried swopping the WB? A bit more below would be nice.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Gorgeous! Bird looks fresh from the shower, ready to get going. Wondering what time of day this is to achieve such balance? Beautifully done, field to bench.

Hi Steve, thank you for viewing and commenting. The perch is natural, not a setup. I think the blue you see on the bill and legs might be from the shadow the birds was in. I hate to mess with a global adjustment, so maybe a local adjustment on just the bill and legs. Will see...

Hi Dave, thank you for viewing and commenting. I looked back at the time of capture, it was 10:14 AM as I was leaving the rookery at Gatorland in Orlando, Florida. As I recall the image the bird was on the side of the boardwalk that would be in bright shadows, so even light without shadows.
