More owls at a different place. This at Brian Piccolo sports park, the best place in south east Florida for this species. Less than a week ago, this entire area was saturated and flooded, including the burrows for most of the owls. This family (four owlets) flew up into the oak that their home is under. Except the baby, who can't yet fly, who tried to stay dry, perched on a notch at the bottom of their oak. This is the mom and two middle siblings who are standing at the entrance to their burrow which starts under the large surface root behind them. It was good to see the family weathered the flooding successfully. It's very unusual to see them nest under a tree. They typically like open fields for easier threat detection. Could be because they are so well managed and protected at this park.

Like this one David. The difference in the siblings eyes adds lots of interest for me.

Mom is just enough in focus to make the image IMO. Flowers in RH are a nice touch too.

Nice to see the little ones and the parent together. I like the out of focus foreground and the crop works well.

Nice family group you got here. They are all well placed in the frame. The siblings nice and sharp. The parent is OK, too bad it had not placed itself in the same plane as the young, but still pretty neat. Having a tree in the BG is indeed unusual, nice to have something different. The flowers are an excellent inclusion!

Yes, I went all the way to f11 but was too close to get all three. So, of course I included Mom but went for the two cuties at f4. All comments on the image design are well received and appreciated.
