    Default Leopard at Pafuri

I was fortunate to spend the past week in the Pafuri region of the northern Kruger National Park. I encountered this female leopard just before the sun dipped below the horison. She gave me a a long hard stare before she disappeared in the tall grass, giving me just enough time to capture a few images. The light was magic, and so was the moment:)

Those eyes make this one fo rme. Intense, yellow hard stare. It knew you were there. The whiskers are nicely captured as well.

    Hi Chris,

I have no idea if this is your best leopard but it is certainly stunning. No grass!

One of the best shots of this animal I have seen on this forum! Love the stare, BG, sharpness and environment, but what really really tops this off is the light, giving the animal soo much pop! Just amazing, congrats!

    Hi Chris
Absolutely beautiful image. I was fortunate to have lived in Pafuri for 13 years. Was the manager at TEBA for 3 years. Sadly it was in the days before 'digital'. Would give anything to have had digital equipment back then.
