Or maybe, Carolina Karaoke? Either way, I liked the way this wren appeared to be singing to the tree bud. This was taken about a month ago while on a walk in a local woods. We have a pair of Carolina Wrens nesting in our garage, and the volume that can emanate from this very small bird is nothing short of amazing.

Love this composition and canvas overall. Only wish the OOF branch above head was higher or gone. Love the bud and the singing pose. TFS

A spring frame for sure. Like the curve in the perch and the tree bud. Placement of the bird is right on.

These guys are uncommon up here, just north of their normal range, but from time-to-time one or two shows up. Their song never ceases to amaze me! Really nice habitat feel here. Like David, I do wish the buds were a little higher than they are (or as blurred as the bottom ones), but the scene as a whole is very effective. I get a real good vibe viewing this image!!

Thank you all. I agree about the leaves above the bird. I like having some leaves up there to complete the comp, but I thought about pruning them up a bit. I was afraid I'd leave a blotchy spot so I didn't try it. Could be done, I suppose.
