I'm glad you left that feather in as I like it. Neat floor for this egret to stand on. I think adding back some at the top and left would improve the comp IMO. I love the marbled blue water in the BG, but the bright white transition at the top not so much.
Great look at the eye and love the shake pose. The included feather is sweet. There is some noise throughout but acceptable IMO. Agree with Daniels crop suggestion.
Like the fluffed up look here. The bright part of the background could be toned down some.
Fluffed feathers are nice, but I'd like to see him stretched out a bit more to show his shape. He's also really tight in the frame, so hopefully you have some canvas to give him breathing room. The lighting is also an issue for me as there isn't
direct illumination on the bird. He kinda blends into the scene as a result.
Love the tiny feather but the bird needs more room in the frame. Lots more.
