    Default Rainy Day Osprey.

I think this is pushing the D500, but it looks OK to me.
    Prosumer camera, not the D5.
Simple PP in C1P, used Topaz on BG at only 10, used on upper wing at 5.
    That is it.

The wing position isn't the best but I love the BG and rain. Nice composition and some will require "eye contact" but I don't mind bird looking where it's going as long as there is a clear view of the eye. The rain makes this one. TFS and keep them coming...

Thanks David, agree about wing position, I cut off some better ones.
I never get Osprey eye contact, they will check you out once and then ignore you.
They fly within 30 feet and don't look at me, even if you shout.
    They make Harriers seem friendly.

Love the BG and the rain. I would add some sharpening on the bird. The view of the talons is nice.

Nothing like a bird in the rain. The background makes the bird stand out nicely.

Yeah, the eye contact is a bit of a bummer, but the rain is really cool as it is the detail on the feet. Exposure on birds looks great under challenging conditions, so you did well on that front. Softly mottled BG is very nice as well.
