While walking the Jetty at Barnegat NJ I spotted this Plover who was not in such a get spot then while trying to get a better angle it flew to this perch and posed for about 20 minutes.

Very nice. THe BG color is fantastic. Is that ice on the rock?

The ice (?) covered perch is neat! At first I thought taking a wee bit at right would be better, but then you'd lose the way the rock tapers to the corner. Very appealing BG!

Lovely light, details and background James. The ice-wrapped rock is a bonus.

I usually prefer a less centered crop but in this case I wouldn't change a thing. The ice on the rock adds a lot to it.

    Hi James,

I really like the pose and light on this one. The composition works for me and the details are awesome.

    Hi James -

Very nice pose and bg, and the ice-covered rock adds a lot of interest to this lovely image.
