These guys are so small, yet they turn up the volume all the way up to 10!! One of the sweet sounds of the wild outdoors. Audio used to lure it closer.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp (about 80% FF), some of the worst highlights toned down on some of the leaves (burn tool). Of course there had to be that one leaf touching the bird...

Singing up a storm for sure. Like the framing and the calling pose. Nice background with that green and red. The spring leaves look great.

Lovely light and great pose. Amazing what volume these little guys (and their Carolina cousins) can crank out. Sweet frame.

A fine shot Dan, sharp where it needs to be and a very pleasing background too.

I can hear it from here. Surprised you left the leaf touching breast. Beautiful framing, composition, EXP, BG and details (so what's new). TFS

    This is so pretty.
    Great light and singing pose.
Love the BG. I don't mind the leaf touching the bird at all. It is nature and real life!
