This took longer than the previous series, getting close now. Maybe next week I guess, it is currently very windy and for the next several days.

Thanks John, yes I agree not quite there I posted really to illustrate how rewarding yet annoying it can be to get so close and not close enough to fine focus. Initially I was a little greedy going for pretty much full size in the frame but then of course DOF and focus point are very difficult to achieve. I decided to go for about 1/2 to 2/3 size in the frame and then the weather became windy, I am convinced that is why this one just missed critical focus, the previous fly past I used f7.1 and it was almost there this f8 and it was still a smidgen out. I have ordered another 500g of mealworms, this fly by is costing me money! The plus side however is that I have a robin's nest with chicks and the adults are feeding them like crazy..... and so of course are about six sparrow families!Originally Posted by John Mack

Nice image of the woodpecker enjoyed the others too. My only pick would be wish the tail wasn't so vertical. Looks a little odd. But what can you do. Looking forward to more. TFS
