Purple Martin female. A big crop on a D500 for this iso but I
liked the pose. I Did more work than I like, used NR on wings because of noise
and other tweaks I normally don't do but for fun...
    D500, 700mm (500pf w/ 1.4) f8, 1/5000, iso6400.

    Perfect pose and gaze.
Nice and sharp but the IQ is definitely not up to your usual standard. Details around the head quite coarse.
Did you clone something out in LUC or is that some posterization?
So get out there and get closer!

Obviously, the crop is not ideal but I love the pose and nailing focus on this fast and small beauty is way cool. TFS

The pose is great. Also ditto for the background.

Love the pose and the sharpness. You can improve IQ a bit by going back to a wider crop especially because as presented the bird is quite large in the frame ...

pose is terrific, agree on going to a wider crop to make the details look a bit less crunchy
