Eliminating some of the branches helped this image somewhat. Wish I knew how to get rid of the one in front of the bird. Any suggestions? Captured in AK on BAA Bear boat trip.

Hi Susan! I like the wings and the eye contact. If you could post an 800 pixel image, it would give the PS experts some more pixels to work with.

    Hi Susan !

Great to see you posting from NM. Wonderful action you captured in this image and excellent detail and color. I find the crop a little tight . Superb timing and a beautiful blue sky !!! Have a great weekend !!!!

An excellent shot Susan I love the take off pose captured excellent details and nice wing position .... As you mentioned about the branch running through the body as being a bit of a dissappointment. But fixable I think......:)

Hi Doug! I can't post an 800 pixel image as I am on vacarton in Santa Fe and am downloading from my website and don't have access to my library in my laptop.

I like the pose and agree that it is a bit tight in the frame. The branch sticking out of the bird's left wing is easy to remove. The other one would require considerably more work.
