Visited a local preserve a few weeks ago, where Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Eastern Towhees reside in summer months. It was nice to see them back. The Grosbeaks in particular seem to favor the higher perches, so this is characteristically a bit of a steep angle; but I liked the image with a touch of spring green. Although this is likely a local breeding bird, I think there was also a wave of migrants passing through the area then. The following day I had one sitting on my backyard feeder.
