I have been looking out for dragonflies on my garden pond, the damsels came out about one month ago. This one emerged before I saw it, so far I have seen one imago but have not managed any pics yet.

The stacking is right on. Pretty neat how that white glows. Background and detail are spot on.

Can't imagine how you image stack HH. Looks like a fantastic result. Are there tools to help align in PP? I've never tried this technique before. TFS

David the camera stacks and aligns*, having said that Zerene stacker programme does also.
Photoshop does this also - lots of tutorials on Youtube. In many instances it works well but I find frequently it doesn't quite work. Zerene offers the opportunity of easy editing the stacked image to remove shadows.ghosts and such like - a really good programme produced in USA.

    * I can set the camera to focus bracket or to focus stack, the former just captures images at differing points, from front to back, I tell the camera how many images and what distance apart, the later does that as raw and jpeg , it takes an initial image then comes back for two images and then goes forwards - again the photographer decisdes how many images and what distance apart. Subsequently the camera produces a stacked jpeg in camera, the latter is surprisingly good but I prefer to work with raw files so I tend to use bracketing.

Thanks, my friend. I will be researching...
