I hope this works, it was difficult following the continually moving head and holding a single AF point on the target.
    AF point between the eyes.
    Very close, about 4 meters.

I really like this Colin, having the beak not all in focus doesn't worry me, looks spot on, likewise the framing. Seems you are getting both camera & PP to work nicely, was I right?

Indeed and you won't even get to the end if you do things correctly Colin, as you will constantly be evolving your WF, it's when things stay static is the time to worry. Hopefully we have got the basics more inline and both camera and your PP are in tune, delivering the goods, then it's just a matter of honing, but as you can see, it's not hard or rocket science.

This image is real cool! I don't mind that the tip of the beak isn't in focus for me it's all about those eyes. Well done Colin.

Really like this one with that shallow depth of field. Nice and sharp on the eye as well.

Great closeup, one of the best things you have posted. Eyes are really nice.

I agree this is one of the best ones you've posted Colin. Quite the stunner. Very engaging image, and tack sharp where it should be. I love the oof body too. Excellent.
