    Nice low POV with a great HA.
    I would back off on the contrast and sharpness a bit. Doing that would likely improve the hottosh whites on the neck and side of the head.
    Would love to see without the reds desaturated as a reference point.

    Excellent light and direct stare, but I think the repost looks has gone too far in the unsharp direction. I think you need to split the sharpening difference. The high-key effect is nice, but the frame feels a bit bottom heavy with so much space above. Not sure what flexibility you have to shift the crop around but might be worth a try.

    I much prefer the repost. Agree to more sharpening for the repost- I would say half of what the OP had. The whites look better on the repost too and I like the subtle sunrise color.

    Apart from the sharpening, the repost does indeed look better. Interesting perch, and a perfect head angle.
