This lovely female Leopard scaled the tree to get a better vantage point as a hurd of Impala began to make their way towards her. When we found her in the morning she was just using one of the tracks to walk along, as both the sand and her soft pads created zero noise, ideal if you are in a hunting mode. Sadly after 45 mins with her the expected hunt/stalk became a fruitless exercise as some helmeted Guinefowl gave the game away.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Hi Steve ... always a treat to see and photograph this cat species .
You have made her stand out nicely ... with your way of editing .
Really lovely overall colors and tones ....perfect comp .
Only thing I would change is that I might burn the tree on the LHS and I wish the canopy would have been more closed in the ULC .

Enjoyed watching on all counts , and you made the best from steep angle

I like the position of the leopard on the tree. The way the tail hangs down is neat. Don't like that branch right behind the head. But hey what are you gonna do.

Technically very good indeed but it doesn't quite ring my bell, the turned head spoils it for me.

Love that intense stare. I'm not one needing eye contact from wild animals and prefer to catch them doing their thing as in this image. That long tail is also a component of this canvas I love. TFS
