You caught a vey intimate and touching moment Andreas! I like the way the FG and the BG makes the 2 seals stand out. The catchlight in the mother seals is very nice plus the grains of sand on their furs. Plus the downward angle of the mothers body leads the eye nicely to the pup.

A nice moment for sure. Like the wetness of the pup and the low angle. Detail looks very nice.

A touching moment indeed. I wonder who was separated from whom, the pup seems much wetter than the mother. I like the fur especially in the mother despite it being flat and damp detail is still well rendered.

Thanks folks for your kind comments ... much appreciated .

Jon - for your info . Both were in the water , mum was busy with a bull who went for her . She was not ready for mating yet .... or did already mate . Due to mum being stressed by the bull , the pup ran after her into the water but got separated from her and was more or less swimming around in the shallow surf . When the bull gave up for a moment , mum looked for the pup and they met on the beach . The fur structure is normal when being still wet ... Jon . I was just lying all the time in the sand and watching the scene.... without much movement from my side .

Love the low POV, composition, mom's eye and the wet pup. The pano choice makes it more intimate IMHO. TFS

Like everything about it Andreas, but I might crop on the RHS to loose the start of the fin.
