    Default Mandarine Duck

Hi folks ... sadly another boring duck as my avian arsenal is quite limited .
Image taken at local town pond and this species is for sure one of those invaders from private collection or disappeared from a Zoo . Already very long living on that pond .....
So from time to time the possible to get a shot of them .... sadly the water color is never nice there as that pond is overcrowded by ducks und geese , attracted by people who feed them massively albeit being forbidden . Seen people coming along with plastic bags full of bread and all sorts of ..... . As a result the water is never clear and looks just dirty / brown .... depending on the light you have different colors as refection on the surface .
Wish I had the duck more parallel to the sensor ... at least the head is sightly turned , but know it is not ideal ..... just love the color firework in this species .

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, exquisite detail, especially in the finer elements and super colour overall. I can also see where it's slightly darker in the FG so you get more of those saturated reflections coming through.

Wish I had the duck more parallel to the sensor ... at least the head is sightly turned , but know it is not ideal ..... just love the color firework in this species .
If it was it would be a cracker!

A beautiful duck with some amazing colours and details Andreas. Nice shooting angle, agree on a bit more turn towards us but I would be thrilled with this.

Excellent points made above. I like this shot Andreas. Great colors and reflection. I agree with your self-critique re the HA. To add to the advice already provided by the others, I'd personally open up the face and the breast just a touch with a dodge layer. Other than that, this is lovely!

Such an outrageous bird in form and color. Nicely shot and a pity it hadn't at least given you a look back.

Thanls Colin , Volkan and Aditya for your comments , much appreciated

Aditya - for me no opening up of your suggested areas needed as there is plenty of details visible IMO
