    Default Fine Details..

Another Osprey from this morning. I have a fortunate nest, kind of like my own backyard setup
with the sun right over my back on the Columbia River so it is fine to be on the bank in Lockdown.
    D500, 500mm (300 w/ 1.7), f5, 1/4000, iso800
    Processed in C1P, PP
Nikon users are crazy not to use Capture one. Easy and so much better than LR for Raw conversion.

Dan, love this and the other as well. Sounds like you got some good light!

The green background really helps highlight the Osprey. Doesn't allow his eye to pop as much, but who cares.

I am curious what range you estimate this was at, and any crop? I ordered a 1.4TC for my 500mm - just trying to gauge.

Oh, and I'm about a week into C1P from LR and finally getting used to it.

Brian, probably a 50% crop, here is the unsharpened Tiff converted to jpeg to post.
The nest is 50 yards? away. A 600 w/ 1.4 would get FF photos.
I have the 500pf which is not as good as my 300 f2.8 with extenders but is a nice lens.
I have the 1.4tcIII but I do not like the results, I never use it with the 500pf.
Some people like Arash get good results, I don't.

Dan I think I like this one best, your lucky with this setup. My personal taste maybe just a tad bright. Green background goes well with the whites really makes this pop. TFS
