This image was created on 28 APR 2020 at Indian Lake Estates, FL. Working from inside my SUV, I used the Induro GIT 204/FlexShooter Mini-mounted Sony FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS lens, Sony FE 1.4x teleconverter, and the blazingly fast AF King, the Sony Alpha a9 II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body. ISO 640. Exposure determined by Zebras with ISO on the rear dial: 1/2500 sec. at f/6.3 in Manual mode. AWB at 7:43pm with some light clouds on the western horizon. Tracking Flexible Spot (M) AF-c was active at the moment of exposure and performed to perfection. Learn exactly how I set up my tripod inside a vehicle in the video here.

Learn more about the creation of this image in the SONY e-Guide PDF Published. But It's Only a Grackle! And the Adjective Challenge ... blog post here.

As for the image, all comments are welcome and appreciated.

Quite simply - Yes! I love the dark profile and the wonderfully colourful background. the bird is quite well over to the left - quite deliberately so I sense and it works, A pleasure to view.

Colors are off the chart... very nice. I think a tighter vertical would be a nice option.

Hi Artie ... lovely image . all works perfectly well together .
Here on my screen , I think the sharpening halo around the subject is a wee bit strong for my taste .... might be exclusive to my screen .

    Nice one and TFS Andreas

The gackle looks great against that sky. Framing is right on. Love the colors in the sky.

Love this. Great pose, and the silhouette works well. Sunset colors are amazing. So many tones to take in. Small in frame works because of them. TFS
