Another from the almost lost folder of files that I almost deleted while cleaning up my PC. From November 2018, and found just at the right time while very little new files are being created.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, full-frame, usual eye work, a couple of minor twigs removed from the edges.

Man I can't believe you almost deleted this folder! Good thing you didn't. This shot is great. I love the BG and berries. Bird doesn't look too bad either! Love the way the berries on the RHS and bottom compose the bird and aren't cut off. Overall very nice. No nits from me. TFS

A lovely shot, seems like you are spoiled for choice if a shot like this can nearly be trashed.
My only issue is the berry scraps messing a clear view of the beak.

Sweet shot with beautiful colors and comp. I wouldn't have minded a slight head turn toward profile, but would be thrilled to come across this in my files. (No chance, I'm afraid.)

Good thing you didn't delete that folder. Lovely frame. Really digging that colors on this one.

I love the setting, but front-view frame are tough for me. I like seeing the overall shape, and the tail is basically gone from this angle. I also wish the head was turned a bit more in profile for shape's sake. Your previous
PIGR was more my style and a truly outstanding frame. This is nice but not on the same outstanding level.
