    I captured this image at Ft. Desoto north beach in Pinellas County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera and lens supported by a monopod
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +1/3 ISO 450 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped for composition and presentatioin

    Considering I was suppose to be there next week (thank you covid!!) this has me nostalgic as I miss Fort Desoto. This one is past prime, but it still has neat neck feathers. The breaking wave is at a good spot. The face could use a touch of sharpening.

    Hi Dan, I also regret that you had to cancel your trip, I was looking forward to hooking up and walking some of the same ground together. After reading your comments I knew I could do better so I did a redo. This actually is more the way the morning was, overcast with a light sea fog. Less in post processing is always better. Thank you for viewing and commenting.

    Hi Joe, I'd add a Graduate filter slightly angled from the bottom up to just where the plumage from the leg meets the body, then drop the exposure, add say 5 of Clarity and 10 Dehaze and mask around the subject, looks a bit 'washed out' in terms of tone in the RP.

    Classic view of this egret in the surf. Like the framing. and the pose on the bird.
