    I really like the thinking behind this one Bill, great low POV, nice moody look to the shot. I tried a RP darkening the bright white waves, and dodging the bird a little to balance it out. I though it looked quite nice, different to your shot but worth a try.

    I did post it here but the compression made the BG really patchy - it was much better in PS for some reason

    I like the low angle, incoming surf, running stride. The subject is underexposed though. Although I rarely use it anymore here is where some fill-flash would have been great. You could always lighten the Sanderling in post.

    Hi Bill , a vey nice frame .
    I do like the moving subject and the wave backdrop .
    Overall a bit dark .... for my taste .

    Thanks guys. Here's a repost, with the exposure on the bird increased 1/3 stop, and slight adjustments to the bg brightness (-) and contrast (+). Better. I hadn't realized how apparent the underexposure was on the bird.

    Great pose and action. Nice handling of the flat light. Love the lifting foot. Love the BG. RP looks much better to my eyes. TFS

    I can see them running already. Nice sense of motion to this one. I could see it brightened up a little more.
