    I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera and lens supported by a monopod
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV -2/3 ISO 280 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction, removed a couple twigs from the background
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Really digging that two toned background. Nice that clump of lichen is on the perch. Balances the bird nicely. Nice pose as well.

    Joe, love it. This one seems to have an aggressive point in body language and I agree on the lichen bloom.

    Looks like you just dodged shadows from the tree branches on the left. Well done.

    I like this one a lot Joe, the alignment of the green to blue boundary with the perch, almost perfectly, is a plus and very cool. my only wish was slightly better eye contact (bird is looking down just a tad)
