Hi Joseph ... focus locked on !!! You have been the subject ... of the heron .
I do like the stare and the clean simplicity of this image . Not sure about the crop .... but very difficult to find a good solution IMHO .

    Nice one , TFS Andreas

I love the whimsical look these guys have when looking down the barrel with their outstretched neck! This makes for a fun image, a smile maker for sure! Another 10-15% more space top and both sides would improve the comp (IMO). Beautiful BG, and the sidelight works in this case. You may want to warm up the image a tad to reduce the shaded bluish cast.

I like the quirky composition, Dan's suggestion re warming up sounds good to me.

Joe I like a little different which is nice. The blue or magenta cast is all right with me. Probably the way it was in early daylight.Might take some off the bottom and add to the top it is a little tight. TFS

Great head on portrait here. Yes to warming the image up and some more room at the top.

Fun image, these guys are so goofy when viewed from this angle. The composition works for me, but I would warm the image as it feels cold now. Bit more room above would help as well.
