    Highly-detailed look at this little bird! Perch isn't perfect but is offset by the fact the shot isn't set-up, so a true in-field result. I'd love to have a bit more head turn towards us, but the composition is a bigger issue. The bird
    is too close to the left hand side of the frame. He has no space into which to look and the top/right portions of the shot feel very empty as is. Easily fixed if you can move the crop around. I've shot the related Indochinese
    Blue in Thailand, so I understand how these guys are always under canopy. Higher ISO looks very good here.

    Hi Dorian thanks for the comments. There were a couple distracting branches to the left so had no choice but to compose vertically. I know its a bit tight but couldn't help it.

    Good-lookin' bird here, and I like the simple image design. Nice colours. I can't help but notice the odd IQ on the wing (I realize dof has an impact here), and yes to the subject being tight in the frame. Appealing BG!
